Portugal reopens for tourists

PORTUGAL RE-OPENS FOR TOURISTS

Portugal is very much open for business! The Algarve has retained one of the lowest number of cases of Covid-19 in the world, making it one of the safest places for sun-seekers to visit for a holiday after lockdown is lifted. With strict measures being established at the early stages of the outbreak, Portugal has resulted in reopening to tourists already.

Many businesses were quick to comply with the social distancing and safety measures put in place by the government and have therefore helped towards preventing the spread of the virus. This has resulted in hotels, bars and shops been able to reopen their doors (with some adjustments) over the past few weeks.

As we’ve recently mentioned on our social media channels, golf courses are once again open and we’ve seen our favourite local restaurants and tourist hot spots announcing their return – all with safety measures in place, including limited capacity, to ensure their customers and staff remain safe and able to socially distance. So if you do visit us, don’t forget to pack a few face masks for shopping trips and any visits to indoor/enclosed spaces!

The beauty of Portugal, especially the Algarve, is the rich culture and of course the beaches. So we were relieved to hear that the beaches have been opening. After all, the beach is one of the main reasons people come to stay at Villa Bam!

Faro International Airport is just 20 minutes away from us by car and now that the Portuguese travel ban has been lifted, we can once again welcome you to stay at our luxury villa. All that we ask is that you respect the Portuguese government guidance to ensure yours and the locals safety and help us keep Portugal safe and beautiful.

We have availability in August for anyone looking for an awesome holiday to chase away the lockdown blues. Take a look at availability and book online. We look forward to welcoming you to our Portuguese paradise.
