Our villa is located in Dunas Douradas which is an upmarket, luxury development, situated by the beaches of ‘Praia do Garrao’ and ‘Praia do Ancao’ between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.
The Dunas Douradas resort is snuggled amongst 76 acres of landscaped African pine trees and beautifully maintained villas.
Dunas is a safe, family-friendly resort with a large roman style communal pool and a children’s pool. Onsite is a pool-bar serving all day food together with Xenia’s restaurant open for lunch and dinner. There is a mini supermarket for all your daily essentials and a hair and beauty salon if you fancy a treat! The resort also offers e-bikes for hire if you wish to venture out and explore the local area!
The Dunas resort reception is open 9am-5pm, 7 days a week, all year round with longer opening hours during peak seasons. The friendly staff will help you with anything from booking tours and discount golf to recommending one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. There are two tennis courts in Dunas with a resident pro for lessons of all ages. Dunas is guarded by 24 hour security ensuring a safe and friendly environment to relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday.
What can I do
Dunas is a very popular resort due to its accessible locality and ease of access to the clean beaches, gastronomic eateries and sporting facilities. Just a short walk along calcada pathways, through gardens and golden sand dunes you find yourself on ‘Praia do Garrao’ the beach for Dunas Douradas which you will enjoy eating and drinking in some of the best beach bars in the whole of the Algarve region.
Weather
Enjoy a relaxing holiday in our wonderful villa in Dunas Douradas at any time of the year. The Algarve has consistent and enjoyably warm summer months with temperatures in the high 30’s. Dunas Douradas’ proximity to both the beach and having your own private swimming pool in the villa, makes holidaying here easy. During the winter months, the temperature is usually about 17°C and although there are not as many visitors like the summer months there is still plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed and places to explore.

Beaches
There are two beaches within a short walking distance from our villa – Praia Do Ancao and Praia do Garrao – both beaches are long, open and flat with the trademark red cliff beach of Vale Do Lobo to the west.
During the summer season there are lifeguards on safety patrol from early in the morning until sunset. There are beach concessions that offer all the water sports facilities you would want including, banana boats, canoes, pedalo’s, surf boards, kayaks, para sailing, water skiing, jet skis, donut water rides along with great restaurant food & bars.

Places to visit
Dunas Douradas is the perfect location for keen golfers with the famous golf courses of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo only a few minutes’ drive. Once on the golf courses you will be testing your game against the greens and quick fairways, always keep a look out too for celebrities and famous sports people alike – Quinta Do Lago and Vale do Lobo and indeed Dunas Douradas has many famous villa owners who enjoy the stunning scenery and delightful climate that the Algarve offers all year round.
Travel
Our villa in Dunas Douradas is located just 20 minutes from Faro International Airport (FAO). From Northern Europe there are regular flights to Faro and with so many airlines offering flights to Faro there is always cheap flights to be found.
