The Portuguese love their food and at Christmas, cod takes pride of place at the Christmas table. Food being a very important part of Portuguese culture, you will also find a big platter of roast meat, probably goat, as well as seafood, several starters and a mind-boggling array of desserts. Make sure you book well in advance for a table at one of the many local restaurants!
There are always plenty of fun family activities to do close to Villa Bam. The Campus in Quinta do Lago is great over the festive season which is just a ten minute drive from the Villa. This fabulous lifestyle resort’s new sports centre has a packed programme of activities including tennis.
Forum Algarve in Faro has plenty in store for the festive season too with Santa’s Village and a large ice rink, where every time you skate, a tree is donated to help reforest the Serra de Monchique.
